Searching for Bushes (Quick Tip)
Share
BY SIZE
Bushes are are usually designated by the inside diameter x outside diameter x length (ID x OD x L) in mm.
You can search for bushes using the size and a short description. For best results don't leave a space between the numbers.
eg;
Not Recommended: 3 x 10 x 4
Good: 3x10x4
Better: 3x10x4 bush
Be aware, that the search function will also try to look for your sizes as OD x ID x L and other combinations.
BY PART NUMBER
You can search by the part number if you know it. We list many competitor part numbers for reference, But if you prefer to use a PDF catalogue to find the part number required, you can download the MBA Bushes Catalogue.
The MBA part numbers are coded in an easy to follow format as shown in the example below...
eg; BP0250-0300-0500-BSLT
BP: Bush Plain (BF: Bush Flanged)
0250: 25mm ID (025.0)
0300: 30mm OD (030.0) - 0320 is used for 032.0 or 031.8
0500: 50mm Length (050.0)
BSLT: Material Designation
Once you find a part number similar to the size you require, you could shorten it to find similar sizes, eg;
BP0250 will return all plain bushes with 25mm ID
BF0250-0300 will return all flanged bushes with sizes similar or close to 25x30
For a more accurate result showing only 25x30, remove the "-" and search for BF02500300
INCH SIZES
Inch sizes (imperial) are still listed in mm. Many inch sizes can be searched to three decimal places, eg; 9.525x12.700x22.225. However, you may simplify a search for inch sized bushes by searching for only two or one decimal place. eg; 9.53x12.70x22.23, or 9.5x12.7x22.2.
It helps to keep the same number of decimal places for each part of the search.
