Searching for Bearings (Quick Tips)
Share
BY SIZE
Bearings are are usually designated by the inside diameter x outside diameter x width (ID x OD x W) in mm.
You can search for bearings using the size and a short description. For best results don't leave a space between the numbers.
eg;
Not Recommended: 4 x 10 x 3
Good: 4x10x3
Better: 4x10x3 Bearing
Even Better: 4x10x3 Stainless Bearing
Be aware, that the search function will also try to look for your sizes as OD x ID x L and other combinations.
BY PART NUMBER
You can search by the part number if you know it. A part number may be printed on the bearing seal or around the inner or outer ring of the bearing.
If you get no results try simplifying the search term a little in case you placed an incorrect digit or letter.
Our database includes competitors part numbers as well as our own part numbers.
If you prefer to use a PDF catalogue to find the part number required, you can download the MBA Standard Range Catalogue.
INCH SIZES
Inch sizes (imperial) are still listed in mm. Many inch sizes can be searched to three decimal places, eg; 9.525x22.225x7.142. However, you may simplify a search for inch sized bearings by searching for only two or one decimal place. eg; 9.53x22.23x7.14, or 9.5x22.2x7.1.
It helps to keep the same number of decimal places for each section of the size you are searching for.
